Ooof ball
basics
People are drawn
to medicine balls because they are portable, inexpensive, and fun to
use. And highly effective. Using one involves:
 |
moving your whole body |
 |
moving in
ways that target abdominals and back - the body's "core" |
 |
stretching
and strengthening through a full range of motion |
 |
blending
physical skills (flexibility, explosive force, etc.) |
 |
rotating
through several planes |
 |
developing
explosive power |
Ooof balls are
true medicine balls, offering all these advantages...and more! Why
choose an Ooof medicine ball?
Ooof balls cost
more than most medicine balls, but they're still a bargain.
Ooof
balls are virtually indestructible. They are solid polyurethane
through and through. This means that Ooof balls have no bladder or
hollow center to compress or deflate. Likewise, Ooof balls also have
no shell that could separate or rupture, no stitchings to unravel - the "cover" of an
Ooof ball is an integral part of the ball. Ooof balls are made to be
used and come with a five year warranty against manufactured defects. Ooof
balls require no adjustments. Ooof balls arrive ready to
use. No need to ever add air or water to your ball; no worries about
over or under inflation. Ooof
balls are easy to grip. No smooth, slippery surfaces here.
Ooof balls are dimpled to allow you to get a solid handhold. Ooof
balls resist scuffing and scarring.
Use your Ooof ball on almost any surface - it is abrasion-resistant. Ooof
balls bounce. Drop the Ooof, dribble it, or bat it against a
wall. It rebounds. So you can work out without a partner - or
an expensive (and inconsistent) rebounder board. And do a wider
variety of exercises. Ooof
balls absorb energy. By design, the Ooof
ball's bounce is limited. The ball actually absorbs energy, so
you have to keep exercising - putting energy into the ball - to make it
return. Ooof
balls float. The old-fashioned leather medicine ball can't get
wet. The Ooof, however, can go right into the water, for added fun
and exercise. And since it floats, kids will likely find the Ooof
ball a delightful, energy-burning pool toy. Ooof
balls are latex-free. Many medicine balls use latex as a
component. The Ooof ball, however, is solid polyurethane. So
you can use it anywhere - even in rehab centers and fitness gyms - without
worrying about an allergic individual suffering a life-threatening
reaction to latex.

When you lift your new Ooof ball
out of the box, it may feel slippery. Wash the ball with soap and
water. This will remove the silicone coating used in the
production process and prepare it for break-in.
The Ooof ball is built
tough. Just take reasonable care in using it (don't kick or
puncture) and keep it away from temperature extremes.
