It's
been awhile, but you had mentioned for me to send pictures of what we ended up
doing with the balls we ordered. Well, we painted a snowman on the largest, a
Christmas tree on the second largest, and candy canes on the blue one. We left
the smaller red ones alone because they were red and somewhat Christmas looking.
The kids had an absolute blast on them. We also rented a jumper (moonwalk) and
between the two things they were busy well into the night.
The paint did not crack or
peel off either. We used Kilz primer (oil based) and used regular water based
paint on top of the primer. We did not let the air out after we painted (one
weekend ahead of time). I had to give your web site out to at least three
people, who were so amazed at how much the kids were playing with them. I just
kept hearing "Where did you get those?"
The
truth is I saw it on a Halloween episode on HGTV, where the guy had bought these
huge balls and painted them like eyeballs for his Halloween party. That's what
we'll do with them next year. That requires the whole ball to be primed, so we
thought we would do the Christmas party first, and just paint over the
decoration for Halloween. We don't expect the paint to last but long enough for
the party; we knew that going into it.
Anyway, thank you and I
hope you enjoy the pictures.
